Mayor Bautista OKs creation of West Fairview High School

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista has approved the ordinance establishing of the West Fairview High School in Barangay Greater Fairview.

City Ordinance 2786-2018, introduced by Councilor Karl Edgar Castelo, seeks to convert the North Fairview High School Annex located at Austin Street, Barangay Greater Fairview into a separate and independent integrated high school to be known as the West Fairview High School.

Under Section 391 paragraph 21 of Republic Act 7160, or the “Local Government Code of 1991,” Barangay Greater Fairview is mandated to initiate the establishment of a barangay (village) high school.

The QC ordinance aims to address the increasing student population of the North Fairview High School Annex.

West Fairview High School began operating in June 2017 with 1,792 enrollees for School Year 2018-2019, catering to Grades 7 to 10.

West Fairview High School is to be integrated from Grades 7 to 12.
